    Our Mission

A lot of this stuff that looks like sand and rocks under my feet are actually single-use plastic. An estimated 16 billion pounds of plastic enters the ocean every single year. Plastic pollution going into the ocean, and it’s just miles and miles long. And with plastic consumption on the rise, that number is only going to increase. The truth is we’re facing a global plastic problem. Our industries, commerce, and lives rely on plastic – much of it being single-use. Plastic doesn’t break down, it just breaks apart. Meaning that all the plastic that was produced still exists in some shape or form today. It didn’t used to be…

Shh! We’re playing hide and seek! But, I can’t seem to find Squeaks. Can you? [Soft music playing] Hah! Found yah! [Giggles] Here at the fort, we’re pretty good at hide and seek. You know why? Because we’ve learned a lot of great tricks from nature! There are lots of kinds of animals that have their own kind of hide and seek — Some animals hide so they can sneak up on their prey– other animals hide so they don’t become dinner! Either way, these animals don’t hide behind curtains or under tables like we do when we want to play hide and seek — they hide in plain sight!…

It doesn’t really need a herder or a person to be right with them telling them what to do. You observe that he’s more into the middle of the group. He blends in within the goats. Cheetahs are not an aggressive animal so…

WORLD’S BEST DRESSED BUGS! | Mantis, Scorpion, Beetle | Love Nature

Who among these three are the classiest of the class insecta? First up, the orchid mantis…found hiding in the tropical forests of Southeast Asia, this absolutely stunning bug has a myriad of tricks in its bag. For starters, its legs closely resemble the orchids petals. Why the floral getup? A master of aggressive mimicry, the orchid mantis gains an advantage over its prey due to its pretty appearance. In this case, pollinators like bees flies and moths are lured by the promise of nectar. An ambush predator, the orchid mantis waits until the prey is within striking distance. At the perfect moment, it attacks. To keep its prey from getting…

Is The Earth Your Greatest Enemy? [with Demetri Martin]

    – [Ted] Last time on Our Fascinating Planet A planet was born. It exploded all over itself and changed its own face. It survived its puberty, killed its dinosaurs, and then developed its own death defying cycles to keep its starry insides in check. But it would leave its human outsides unchecked. This is Our Fascinating Planet. (majestic music) (majestic music becoming pompous) The story of our Earth is a story of the life it has birthed and nurtured, and perhaps nothing has been birthed and nurtured more on Earth than … Animals. One of Nature’s most valuable resources. We chase them, we wear them, we play with them, we…
